Weather: Gorgeous! Snow: Meh...

Well, all the wind and high pressure has left us with super-beautiful weather, but unfortunately super-lousy snow. Oh well, can't have everything I guess. Here are some pics of us making the best of it...
Christine and Kim at Tincan on their inaugural trip on the new BC skis. We actually found some soft snow down lower in the trees, but was fairly flat which made for a good shakedown trip.

I hadn't been to Hatcher's Pass in a long while, so we decides to tour up Archangel Road and see what we could find. As you can see, the weather was supreme. Photo by Kim

Heading up the Reed Lakes Trail.

Beanie and Morgan are loving it except when they break through the crust!

I headed up towards the Snowbird Mine to see if I could get a few turns and Kim stayed below, you can see her in the middle of the picture. I didn't find anything but boilerplate and variable crust.

Fed up with the lousy conditions in the backcountry we decided to get the group together and do some groomer runs in the bluebird weather yesterday. In the afternoon, the sunny slopes softened up quite a bit and made for some fun skiing.

We drug Sunny up to the top about 3 times, she did great! Photo by Vicky

Kim is loving her new skis, but what about those poles? They look like they're as tall as she is! Photo by Vicky
Look at that pathetic crew! Making good use of those expensive touring bindings!! Photo by Vicky
